Formal Product Custodianship Policy
HRV is committed to taking back HRV systems for recycling at the
end of their service life to the original customer.
Once informed by the customer of the decision to return the
product, the components of the HRV Home Ventilation System will be
accepted back by Ventilation Australia, or the respective Franchise
operator of the region, where they will be disassembled and
evaluated as to whether the components can be reused, reconditioned
or recycled.
The customer will be responsible for notifying the operating
Franchise of that region and be responsible for any cost associated
with the removal and/or delivery of the system back to Ventilation
Australia and any reinstatement of the Premises from which the
system has been deinstalled.
As of March 2009 there have been no HRV systems that have
reached the end of their usable life, and for this reason recycling
operators for each of the components have not been found. Due
to the common nature of most of the components, with the exception
of the Filter media, it is envisaged finding readily available
markets for the components will not be difficult.
Should changing market conditions result in an increase in costs
to deconstruct and send to market, any changes to this cost base
will be amortised across the recycling operation and factored into
the communicated price to the customer.
